in love...

with my life! lately it has been quite the whirlwind but definitely a whirlwind that i don't mind one bit! there are oodles more pictures that i wish i had to include in this post but they are not on my camera and have not been gathered from my lovely friends. with the new year came the new basketball season at dsc. this year has been especially fun because us dancers are really close friends with most of the bball team. cheering for a team takes on a new meaning when you care about the players as friends and not just as boys on the team. practices have been long and hard to keep us in the basketball season groove. regardless of the fact that we are busy busy busy i have loved all the time spent with my team! i sure do love them, really, i love love love them and that is the straight up truth. you might not enjoy these pictures as much as i do but i am forcing you to look at them. we were just messing around but i think it really caught how much fun we have together.

this is lucy may powell. she dreams of being a radio city rockette. she is going to get there someday, i know it.

working like a boss on a routine. this court is basically our home right now.
there is no better picture than this one to sum up our relationship as a team. we are a family for realsies! we have been through breakups, car crashes, speeding tickets, family tragedies, injuries, illnesses and so much more together! in eight short days we will be boarding a plane to hawaii together. seven whole days in hawaii with these girls definitely equals paradise to me.

welcome 2012

on the thirtieth of december I went bowling with the lovely gentry rynearson.
we went with her sister mccall, her roomie anna and their three friends from suu drew, alex and dan
after bowling we were all sitting around chatting and at about one in the morning and we got a genius idea! seeing how it would be a new year in one day we decided we needed to start the year out with a bang. so naturally we decided we should all load up the next day and go to california! within an hour we had tickets lined up and prices figured for gas and hotels. who doesn't love a spontaneous trip right?!
on new years eve we headed over to drew's house for some festivities and yummy treats. after we counted down from ten screaming like excited little kids at midnight we initiated a little picture taking...
 ...and a little dancing too!
when our dancing fix was taken care of we kicked everyone out and finished our trip planning. booked the hotel, bought our six flags tickets and said goodnight at about three am. less than twelve hours later we had all loaded up in the trusty expedition affectionately known as "baker girl" and we were off!

after a very long drive complete with bumper to bumper traffic, people throwing up on the side of the road,  missing a few turns and singing horribly to every song on all of the available ipods we safely arrived at our hotel. we checked in and threw in a movie to watch..of course we all fell asleep!

come morning time the boys had to wake all us girls up and then we were off to spend the entire day at six flags! i was as exited as a little kid on christmas. you may or may not have known but i am an adrenaline junky.
roller coasters and i get along extremely well!
 here is the crew!

self time pic from the top of a trash can? yes please!

seriously love this girl! gentry and i met in fifth grade when we were munchkins in the wizard of oz out at tuachan. i'm very glad to say that regardless of the fact that we had to attend different high schools she is still one of my very best friends!

the boys were all so patient with gentry and i constantly shoving a camera in their faces. brownie points for them! the above picture was taken while waiting in line for a coaster called "goliath" it was intense and left gentry and i looking like....
...soo cute right?!

it was such an awesome trip! a perfect way to start the year with old friends and new friends. if 2012 treats me as well as the past six days have i will be one happy girl! welcome 2012 i really like you so far!
