a night of classy skating.

we went classic skating for our friends jackson and jake's birthday party.
lets just say that skating/rollerblading is not something i can add to my talents list.
it was still a great time regardless of the close-call-falls and high school children hitting on us.
P.S....although our friends have stellar style they are dressed up because it was disco night, so don't get too concerned about the fluffy sleeves and the wedding white suit.

officially official.

today i started my new job.

i have my very own big desk that has not one, but two, very large computer monitors on it.

the desk is labeled with my fancy name plate done by the special machine.

does it get any more official than that? i think not.

the ladies in my office are absolutely adorable. ADORABLE!

there is a lot to learn but i am more than excited.

ever since i was a little tyke i have secretly wanted to work in an official office.

don't ask why because i don't have a legitimate answer for you.

my office is located in the business building and i have already seen a few male students that are very easy onthe eyes.

i'm not complaining.

new job..i think i like you.

neighbys.

Living next to this girl is awesome. We just fit right back together like we did before she moved to Provo last year.

In all seriousness, I don't know how I went a whole year without seeing her everyday.

Ironically, I found a copy of a priesthood blessing my dad gave to me on the first day of my senior year of high school. It talked about the blessing that Court's friendship had been in my life and promised me that we would continue to be close, even if we didn't get to see each other as often. Gosh I love the gospel!

It has only been a week of me living here and we already have so many new memories!

Good thing we look totally hot in our pajamas in the A.M. in that pic huh?

Cheers to Courtney Brynn.

a day of remembering.

Memorial day for my family was spent just as most of you most likely spent yours. With loved ones, looking back and remembering those that have gone on before us. In the morning I reminisced on the Baumanns in Switzerland and Germany with my sweetheart Grandpa and then sat in the kitchen with my Grandma looking through her scrapbooks and watching as her memories filled her voice with joy and left a lasting smile on her face. I will never forget the tender moments I spent this day with my family, most especially with my grandparents as they passed on their love for their parents and grandparents.

Both of these pictures are my dads mom. such an amazingly strong and beautiful woman. She is one of my hero's and I sure do hope I can be like her when I grow up!
My family, Grandma and Grandpa and the Jamison clan (my dad's sister's family) spent the afternoon and early evening visiting the small cemeteries in Smithfield, Lewiston and Providence. It was absolutely freezing that day, kind of ironic since we spent the day looking at graves. Anywho...here we are standing behind grandma and grandpa's headstone. We are all so very glad that it is still just a place holder and that the two lovely people whose names are on the stone were there with us and very much alive! We weren't so sure about this picture but grandma insisted haha no one says no to grandma!

grandma is a Jackson. This picture doesn't show much but I had to capture the moment as a mother so lovingly look on as her son made sure that the flowers would stay standing for as long as possible. I loved standing there with her as she showed us her name on the back of the stone so proudly and made sure to point out that Cap and Chief made it on there as well. Cap and Chief were Great Grandpa Jackson's pulling horses that were a big part of the family. I wish I had pictures of them to show how huge and beautiful they were. All us grandkids have grown up watching his pulling matches on home video and admiring his trophy room.

My middle name, Mae comes from Grandpa's mother Lillie Mae. She passed away when he was really young but his love for her is astounding. He told us all about her struggles with cancer with tears in his eyes, which of course made it hard for us Bauman criers to keep our eyes completely dry. The uncontrollable teary eyes runs in the Bauman genes, we jokingly call it the Bauman boobs syndrome. Of course that joke can be easily misinterpreted....it has to do with crying and that is it. Honest! I am pretty honored to be named after such a strong woman. You better believe that her name will be given to one of my future (verrry future) little girls.

we learned that our Great Great Great Great Grandpa Merrill came across the plains pushing a handcart and then served as an apostle to Brigham Young. Courtney Brynn says that is proof I was supposed to come be a Cougar with her. Maybe she is right. Either way...I has an amazing day full of family history. Sure do love my fam damily!

not about provo.

catch up time.
the week after finals hailey marsh babe and i left on a jet plane to spend a week with the nick, jess and morgan kate hammer family. looking forward to this trip was the only thing that motivated all the studying for finals. it was definitely well worth the wait and money spent to get there! we love az.

our first day there we shopped until we almost dropped and then it started pouring rain outside so we had a sophisticated dinner on the coffee table in the living room and watched revenge and the voice episodes from dvr. morgan decided to be very interested in the photo booth and showed once again her darling and hilarious personality. seriously love this little munchkin!

day number two started bright and early at the gym with jess and then we were off to the pool. i have always thought st george is hot...wrongo...az is much much hotter.

friday morning was spent lounging around and then eventually heading to the pool. we couldn't get morgan to eat anything for breakfast...then i poured myself a nice bowl of cereal and next thing i know she has planted her bumbo seat in front of me and was wide mouthed ready for a big bite. too cute.

our room was a teensy bit messy.........

morgan adopted my purse on the trip. she would point to it and say "my purse, please!!" can't say no to that adorable little thing so she had it for most of the trip. she sure was proud to show it off for us too. adorable.

on our way to the d-backs game!! nick got us great seats and it was an awesome night. chase field was such a cool park with a  great atmosphere.

saturday miss morgan had her birthday party and it was a blast! lots of little munchkins running around which is what hailey and i love most. after the party we got a phone call that our flight that night had been canceled and to make a long story short we had to pack in ten minutes...get to the airport in forty...get on the plane within one hour. talk about a quick and stressful exit. it was especially hard to say bye to nick jess and morgan. hailey's family has basically taken me in as one of their own and i couldn't be more grateful for not only her friendship but the entire families! nick and jess are like the big brother and sister i don't have...love them to death and am so lucky to know them!

perfect way to start the summer of 2012.
