3 days, 3 parks, and a whole lot of friends

Grad trip was an absolute blast!!
I am just going to give a little re-cap..
The fun started Thursday morning at nine thirty.
First on the agenda...a LONG bus ride to Cali!

..a few hours at the hotel to freshen up and..
watch the first episode of SYTYCD!!!

Loading up the bus in our matching shirts..

..some laughs with good friends!
DISNEYLAND!!
A few more steps and we were patted down
and searched. Disneyland means business when
they have thousands of seniors flooding in!
Some REALLY REALLY long lines..
lines where we..
"Have never been this close to people we don't know,"
After being pushed and shoved and sworn at
for a good thirty minutes we were finally in line
for Space Mountain!! This line was only...
an hour long haha the Ninja game helped
us pass the time!
An unfortunate dancing moment...

A "keepin' it clean," dancing moment..

A picture here and there..

With some extreme teacup spinning to end the night!..
Or welcome the morning! We loaded the buses
at 6 Am to sleep walk to our beds and rest our eyes for
a few hours. Then it was back on the bus and
on our way to Six Flags!!
A little character greeting..
and some of the most intense roller coaster action
filled day two!
Back at the hotel again...
a little battle of the maidens took place.
I think Jaimee won!
Then it was off to sleep...well..not until 2 AM.
Day 3: Back on the bus!
We drove across the street to Knotts
and then circled the park in the blasted buses
probably about five or six times.
Not sure what was wrong with the bus driver
but we all were very anxious to get off the bus
and start playing!
The classic stick your face in the prop
amusement park picture!
After a long and exciting day a Knotts we loaded
the buses for home!!
All worn out!!
Such a fun trip. And a great way to celebrate with
all our classmates! As Nikole and I walked through the
parking lot to her car we stopped and both realized
that we probably wouldn't see most of those kids again.
WOW..talk about a sad reality check!
High School was fantastic!! I will miss it dearly..
But like they say..life moves quickly!
To all my classmates through the years at Dixie..
I will miss you all!

girls and a computer

Court got a new computer today and...it has a camera!!
Of course we know it isn't unusual for laptops to have cameras..
but it sure gave us some fun at girls night tonight!

{Becoming gym rats so we don't get fat!}
Once upon a time there were two girls who didn't have
to go to school anymore!!! SO..they decided that they whould probably
become better friends with the gym to avoid further fear
of the scale. A dedication to the gym!
Thank you for helping us look good so we can swim..
This summer we will visit you again and again!
Oh how we love the gym.

I got to spend Friday morning at the most gorgeous building on the face of the planet!
What might this building be?? The TEMPLE!!

We had a senior testimony meeting in the early,
and very chilly, hours of the morning right outside
the visitors center looking directly at the temple. The meeting
started before the sun came over the mountain
and as kids got up to share their testimonies i noticed
that the sun was creepingover the mountain and the front
of the temple was shining so bright! The music playing
on the grounds was so peaceful and beautiful and
although i should have been paying attention i lost myself for a minute
just staring at the temple and thinking about how amazing it is!
I just wanted to sit there all day but of course school ruined my wishes once
again. I am very sure that i will spend a couple mornings in
the summer on the temple grounds watching the sun shine
down on the front of it lighting it up for everyone to see!
"I love to see the TEMPLE!!"

enjoying the journey

As of this very moment I don't have anything oober exciting or profound to post but i have wanted to get a blog going for a while now and i had spare time today so i figured I might as well get this going now. So...here we go! Hopefully soon my blogging skills will be much better and there will be much more exciting things to post!
I first heard the phrase "enjoy the journey"
from a sweetheart i like to call MARSH BABE!
Ever since the day I saw the plaque in her kitchen advising everyone to see to enjoy their journey i have lived by the phrase so is there a better name for my blog?? I think not! Thanks to Marcia for having such an inspiring phrase in her kitchen!
